Take a trip to the Mediterranean with your senses and 1565‘s Cooking Classes.

Spend a leisurely few hours learning to cook traditional Southern Italian, Mediterranean dishes with this fun, intimate, hands-on class.

Learn how to make your own gnocchi or roll out your own pasta – the authentic way – with classic Southern Italian fillings, delicious sauces and irresistible desserts.

Timetable

11am – 2pm
3 hours cooking & preparation
2pm – 3pm
3 course Luncheon, served with mineral water and a glass of wine.

Includes

– One-on-one tuition
– 3 course lunch w glass of wine (inc printed recipes)
– Gelato Voucher from 1565 Gelataria
– and take away homemade biscuits just like ‘nonna’ makes.

Cost

$120 per person (includes GST).

Requirements

Classes require a minimum of 5 booked guests.
If you are unable to attend and provide 3 days notice or more, you will obtain a credit to attend a future scheduled class.

Joy


Josephine Acquaro - Joy to her friends, and a Joy in nature - is Maltese born, married into Southern Italian traditions and Melbourne based. Cooking since the age of 14, Joy is passionate about Southern Europe, which she expresses through a life-long interest of Mediterranean travel, cuisine and European languages. Alongside her sons Adriano and Alessio, Joy is a founding director of 1565 Café & Gelateria, and brings the authentic experience of the Mediterranean lifestyle to the heart of Melbourne’s Kensington.
